Well I am new to the forum.
SO any Way i went out fishing last weeknd and i wonder what if turtles get stuck to your Line do you get in trouble from DNR and also a frog too. and also on monday i am planning on cannoeing were can i canoe to, to fish and o yea were is the boat entrance to water :?:

I'm sure you'll got lots of responses to this post.

I have hooked my share of turtles while fishing - one of the hazzards of fishing.

Here's the deal... If I hook a turtle, I always try to release it with as little harm as possible. Unfortunately, this is not always possible. Do the best you can, and never risk a bite from a snapping turtle. If you have to cut the line and release the turtle with hook in mouth, well, it aint the end of the world.

Carry a pair of side cutters and pliars and you will be good to go if it happens again. snapping turtles are tough and will be fine if just cut the line. Nice report though and thanks for sharing.
