I had to get out and try the Chicago River after reading all of George's reports and the warm spell. Got to spillway about 10AM and fished all along the shore line until noon. Not one bite, but it was really good to cast a line and practice for Spring.

Check out the amount of ice that was flowing through. It was quite amazing.

Wow, there was a lot of ice going through there yesterday. I wanted to get out yesterday and do some casting as well. Glad to see you at least got out.
Nice try. Did we fish the Chicago River last year with fish81156 or was that a different river?

Nice try out there, catching fish or not... It was a great day to be out. Thanks for the report. You will get em next time!

The weather was great! Nice to see so many people get out to fish.
Creighton,

We definitely fished a part of the Chicago River with Pat last year. We were further north that day.

:p
i took the skunk both days this past weekend in the general vicinity.
great job at least getting out, the eastern shoreline has fell victim to most of my bass this season. I seen Brandon out there a few days ago, I take that exact same pattern daily When i fish. There are fish there, slower presentation has worked best for me, with smaller lures.

Keep 'em coming
