Is this a good idea for kings?

I read about this in a saltwater fishing magazine. They said that it would work for all kinds of fish. You're supposed to take off the treble hook, replace it with a single hook, and then put a twister tail on the single hook. It's supposed to give your lures...especially spoons a lot more action. Is it worth a try?
