Saw that Lake Arlington was getting some open water now. I've never been fishing there ,but I drove by there to go check it out. Anybody got any tips on where to fish and what lures to use?

Bassjack, the first place I would look would be in the dozens of Arlington reports on this website over the last few years. Should give you some great starter info. I'm sure others will chime in with some useful info as well.

Having fished Lake Arlington for a few yeas now I can tell you that this early your best bet is along the steepest rip rap on the northeast and east shores. Use shallow diving cranks. As the water warms up, throw jerk baits in the shallow warmer water where the bass are bedding. I walked around the lake yesterday and all the ice is gone. One note: The water is still stabilizing after heavy runoff from this past winter. The water contained a lot of road salt. This may have a negative effect on the spawn. I had my best year there last year. We'll see how it goes this year.
