Looks like the Village is in the process of approving non-motorized boating on Lake Glenview.

"Starting Memorial Day, lake could see "non-motorized kayaks, canoes and rowboats," Glenview Park District says."

"Once boating is formally approved by both the Village and the Park District, boaters will need to obtain a permit at Park Center and commit to adhering to the rules for boating. Boating is tentatively scheduled to start on Saturday, May 27 in conjunction with the Memorial Day weekend."

Cool! How's the fishing there? It's a little bit of a drive but all fishing usually is.

Quality catching is worth driving to.

haven't heard of any stocking info since it opened many years ago. bass seem to be doing ok but as for walleye and northern, i haven't seen any report in the last few years.

My best buddy fishes there regularly. The past 2 years it's been really weedy & the catch has declined significantly.

He says it's also frequented by assholes.

Adhering to the rules has always been a problem at the Glen.
Too many assholes keeping fish.

It's an on going thing trying to educate the guys who insist on keeping the game fish at the Glen.
