Largemouth or smallmouth from last year?

While going through my archives I came across this pic of a bass I caught on May 2, 2006. I took the pic with my phone so this is the best image I have.

Upon further review i'm thinking it might be a smallmouth bass. Not sure though.

Thoughts???

It does look like a smallmouth to me, but it is hard to tell. Can you tell what color the eyes are?

Carp, LOL!

My first instinct was a LM but it's hard to tell. The longer I look at it the more confused I get.

I agree with Sean. When I first looked at it I thought that it was definitely a LM, but then the longer I looked at it the more I thought that it might be a smallie. :?
