Ok guys I need some opinions. I haven't gone Salmon fishing the big pond since '03.I don't have a salmon specific rig anymore and funds(aka wife) wont permit a new rig.
I have a couple rigs I think will get the job done(not as well as salmon rig)but, I am determined to get out there!
I am trying to decide if my 7 ft med.hvy. St.croix with a 35size president or my shimano 7ft med. with quantum baitcaster would be a better choice. I would put on some 15lb powerpro on them.I plan on throwing spoons mostly but have some dts to toss at them also.
I plan on getting out some nights next week. I work in Libertyville and plan on hitting Waukegan(which I've never fished at before). If anybody plans on being out there I would be happy to buddy up. I' would also be happy to supply cold adult beverages. :mrgreen:
