This report is a couple days late, but I still wanted to share my outing. I made it out to the north edge of the Lincoln Park Lagoons on Wednesday night. Temps were kind of chilly, what remaining sun was left was slowly going down, and there was a light easterly wind.

I fished just south of the Fullerton Ave. bridge, and came away with one decent largemouth bass and one dink. Both were caught using a curly tailed grub swam/dragged along the shoreline rocks. I was trying to target smallmouth, but I guess I'll take what I can get.

Further details and pictures from this report can be found on my fishing blog.

Thanks for the report Jon. Is that connected to the Diversey Harbor? If so, I think that Diversey is more noted for largemouths than smallies. I really need to get down and fish the lakefront for some smallies soon.

Toothdoc,

Yes, the lagoons are directly connected, just south of Diversey Harbor. And I think you're right about the largemouth to smallmouth ratio, but I remain hopeful to catch what smallies I can from there at this time of the year.
