Hey Matt I have fished golden oaks a few times all I managed was a dink largemouth. It is only a hop skip and a jump from where I work maybe I'll see ya out there sometime.
Local Ponds
It was a beautiful night tonight, so I tossed some leeches around a few area ponds. Both the ponds I fished have small bass populations and an overabundance of small panfish, but it is enjoyable to fish so close to the house. The first pond produced 3 small bass and a crappie. The crappie and gills were shallow and spawning all over the place. At the next pond, I saw a nice 4lber that I believe I have already caught twice 
and another decent bass that has been sitting on a bed for the last week. All I managed there was a dink bass. As the sun went down I was hoping for a nice cat, but no luck. Here is the hawg of the evening
