Hello all,

I've been fishing axehead for a couple of months now and been meaning to get out and try some new locations. next on my list is Belleau and I've never been there so I was just looking for some suggestions as to what works best there and some good starting spots. Thanks.

In many ways its a lot like axehead, so you have a good start there. It is deeper and the dropoffs much steeper. Very clear water most of the time. Has everything axehead does, plus smallmouth bass. Depth maps show it gets deeper lengthwise, from the parking lot going north. The west and east sides are the steepest drops.

Which sides would you say are the best side to fish? i 've read a lot of the old posts and the northside seems to be popular because of the reeds.

All spots have been equal for me. I never put in too much time there. Always a few little bass around though. And I have heard good things about that spot you mentioned.
