I was out last week night fishing, I know shocking, right?...and noticed a weird shimmer in the water ahead of me right near the shoreline. I walked up to it and before turning my head lamp on, just stood there and stared at this 20' diameter shimmering cloud right below the surface. Couldn't figure it out...popped the head light on and saw something I've never seen before on this scale...thousands and thousands of little baby bass. This photo doesn't come close to conveying the actual spectacle but it's still pretty cool. It's crazy to think that probably only a dozen or less will survive to exceed 15" I know bass cannibalize but not once that night did I hear or see the school getting attacked. They might have been too small
