I am heading off to Australia here in 2 weeks time for a while and wont be around for this years winter league on the Chicago river.... ....i will miss fishing in the snow and ice soooo much esp around xmas while i am in the sun on the beach..... .....
Paul Wells is going to run it again this year if anyone is interested in fishing it or wants to help him out ....
We are thinking of holding a friendly match there this Sunday if anyone wants to fish the stretch there or check it out....it has been fishing well the last few weeks for not just lots of carp but for lots of small fish bags too.....bluegills, catfish, silver bass, and shiners....last years top weight was 78 lbs of carp in just 3 hours there
Draw for pegs is from 8 to 8 30 am and fishing to start from 10 15 am till 2 15 pm
entry fee is $10 (100 % paid out... $5 to go to 1 x 5 man sections , $5 to 1st overall, 2nd and 3rd payouts to depend on entries)
We are drawing for pegs at the river bank just south of the bridge at Legion park

We are fishing to the AMFA rules which has ledgering and hair rigging allowed
