Anybody got any tips on fishing by the McHenry dam? Like to catch some smallies, LMBs, and of course walleye or pike.. Been many years since I have fished any rivers, so Im a bit new at it. Can you wade out underneath the dam?

i was up there about 2-3 months ago but all i came away with was carp. Got a bit mad when the crowds came started casting over eachothers lines. Headed up north for about two blocks and started casting from the shore line right in front of a mexican restaurant and had pretty descent bites
