Montrose Report - 3/19/06
A beautiful but cool day. Sunny skies, temps in the upper 30's along the lake, North winds calm-5mph.
Went to Montrose harbor at 3pm and fished until 4:30pm. Cast several spoons and inline spinners with ZERO results.
The powerliners were relaxing comfortably and I saw no other fish caught by anyone. One couple was fishing with crawlers and said they had 2 trout follow the worms up, but that's it. No perch reported either.
HOWEVER... it is getting time when the Lake Michigan shores will be hot! The fish are there and arriving in numbers everyday. I look forward to some great fishing on the Big Pond in the coming days and weeks.
