Does anyone think it would be worth trying this afternoon. The weather report says that it will rain in the morning...like before 12, but after that it should be good. The only thing is the high will only be like 63, with ENE winds...

Are you referring to the salmon fishing? Usually early and late are better than midday for salmon.

The east winds should help. I would avoid the middle of the day and go around 4 or 5 pm, staying until after dark. I also would consider going up to Waukegan, since I think that might improve your chances of success.
