Ok I got 2 reels based on this forum’s recommendations . One was the Elite max back at end of 2022 recommended by Luckydawg which is on my float rod and I’m very happy with it so far . The other is the revo sx which I’m yet to try but it looks good . So I will be trading in old stuff at bp and I need one more set up. A medium action spinning outfit for flukes senkos etc. Here is what im looking at . 1. Another elite max in 4000 seriers as the trade in price is tempting at $49 and is cheapest on the list but surprisingly good. 2. The new abu revo sc spinning ( new version no reviews on it yet so I’m wary) 3. The plueger president xt ( can’t deny the great reviews) 4. The Shimano miravel ( would come in at most expensive I’ll go coming in at $129 but $30 off with trade in) 4. The Diawa fuego lt ( don’t know much about but gets good reviews , I had a regal lt last me 6 yrs ) For rods in looking vendetta , fish eagle , Diawa tatula ,. Thoughts , or suggestions? Thanks

The guy I fish with the most uses both the BP Platinum & the President XT, loves them both but prefers the Pflueger. I rarely throw a spinning reel and the only good one I have is that Pflueger XT, so I can attest to its smoothness from my usage & it’s durability from my buddy who rarely throws a bait caster. He’s hauled in some mean fish with it. I have the Pflueger XT baitcaster as a spare or loaner & like it a lot but it’s a bit labor intensive to take apart & clean, lube, etc. Loses a few points from me for that.

I only use spinning for certain things . My cousin is a plueger president guy . He swears by them.

If you go Daiwa you should be able to get one for 20% off. Some online retailers had them for 30% off around Black Friday. If you're trying to order a Daiwa ASAP try omnia fishing and maybe your browser will autofill a discount code for 15% off. Free shipping, no tax, they ship fast as they are in MN. I just got an order of terminal tackle from them in two days. They're currently running 25% off all terminal tackle. #notsponsored

I use to only use spincast reels . I was part of the forum like 8 yrs back then left for awhile. Those posts from those days are all on spincast reels . I had specific ones for different things. Never used a 202. I had omegas. Diawa gold cast and silver cast. Mule 10 and a few others.I still like certain ones.

I think I graduated from a cane pole to a Zebco 202! I must of been in 1st grade at the time. I could sling that sinker out a good 20feet when I pressed in that big button. I wonder if they still make them?
when I was a kid I used the tin can 33 s they never failed me . I’m still a fan of quality spincast reels .
