Headed up to North Point for a last hoorah of salmon fishing with my bud Rockfish. We went 4 for 5 with a dink. We lost a pretty big fella right at the boat when he took off sideways behind the boat. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. It was a great way to end the salmon season on a high note. First king was in the box before we could even get the 5th rod rigged. I believe it was at 50ish fow and the rest came in at 90-110 fow. Got 3 hits from chrome on mirage set on 3 with 180ft of line. One on a easter egg and one on a hey baby set on riggers (as described by RF). I learned a bunch of new trolling techniques which will come in quite handy when I get my boat…someday! Water temp was 53. Awesome weather in the low 60's by 11ish with 1-3 swells. Occasional "weeee!!" bumps. Had a blast! Do I really have to wait another 9 months for this??!! Plan on taking another trip with RF for some striper in KY.
Cheers,
Augy
