First northern pike at skokie lagoon. She was an 18 " (catch and release). One weird thing I though pike were suppose to put up a fight and this young blood didnt feel like it was a fighter. Maybe its been that long since my last fish.

By the way the lagoon was jam packed today. YIKES!!!

I didnt really notice that except when I drove by the new part of the dam area i noticed there were fewer people fishing than normal. But I wish they would come down even harder on those people without there fishing licenses etc. And I hate the garbage people the ones that can carry items there but its hard to throw away the empty wrappers , I dont get it I dont understand those people (MORANS) its not that hard to pick up after yourself.

Pike fight pretty hard. the small ones much less though. a 2 pound pike (probably about the weight of the 18"er?)fight about as hard as a 12" 1pound Largemouth. The little pike tend to fight for about 5 seconds and then give up and just spiral in.
