Fished the eastern shore near the Foster dam yesterday from about 4-5. Got several bites on plastic worms, but didn't hook any. The water was faster and higher than I've ever seen it at this spot. Also, I saw what appeared to be a river rat. The body was the size of a street rat, and the tailed loooked like a rat's tail, but the thing swam under water for a good 2-3 feet. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a baby beaver since the tail wasn't paddle shaped, and because I've seen adult sized beavers at this spot that had different looking face. Oh, the river rat swam to the shore about 2 feet from where I was standing and started chomping on some leaves. I guess it was hungry...

I didn't know that, but now I do. Thanks, Topwater. I guess I'm lucky not to have run into them before. I'm definitely going to tread more carefully around this area in the future.
If it was then maybe if you had waited around long enough you would have seen some 'muskrat love' ha, ha ,ha Ok, not funny.
