Fished from 11:30 to 1:30pm, 51, Partly Cloudy , slight breese, water temp was 47 , stained

Fished for a while with a square billed crank bait, husky jerk...nada

Switched over to the WWD setup (worm and sinker)and got a few gills and this one under a tree on the north west side.
All my bites were about 3 feet from shore.(warmest water)

Saw a few other people out and then ran into Jason as I was leaving and passed on the few worms left over to him. Hope they helped Jay

I use a portable digital indoor/ outdoor thermometer. It has a 10 foot line (for the out door temp)that i added a weight to  I just throw it out and let it sit.

Sweet Mike, I'm going to have to get myself one of those. I'd like to make a fishing journal and record water temp and weather and stuff.

and Jason, SWEET fish!!! That Oakton pond is really producing this spring!

Hope all the bucket heads will keep away :D

I feel we should get rid of the Oakton forum and just post under other waters cuz in reality its just a retention pond. Been seeing way too many people fishing there lately, didnt think it would bother me ,but it does lol
