Decided to head out to OCC to try tossing a senko with the baitcaster and ended up with this weird critter:

Looked like a cross between the body of a bluegill, head of a bass and teeth of a pike. The blood red eyes made it look evil. Nailed the senko and tore it up pretty good. Quick search on google revealed my suspicions that it was a warmouth.

Cool, never seen one of those before. What/where is OCC?

It is often stated that warmouths have the body of a bream (a small common sunfish) and the head of a bass, leading to rumors that it is a man-made crossbreed.

Warmouths can be very aggressive, and will often strike at lures and baits even after being released by anglers moments before.
