Went to skokie lagoons for a little while,mostly too see how the thaw is going.Wow is it high! Threw a spinnerbait,crank and some senkos but no takers. Here is a pic of the boat launch.The stairs are covered but still launchable.Hopefully me and my brother will have the boat out this week.

With the Skokie Lagoons connected to the Chicago River system (yes it is), the water is quite high now.

Shoreline fishing can be tough in spots because of the flooding, but there a lot of great game fish in the lagoons. Use traditional techniques to find fish. And remember, when the water is high there, it's also stained as hell.
