I emailed the DNR asked them when the lake is going to open.They replyed depending on staffing levels.They do not no when the lake is going to open this year.

DNR emailed me back and said the lake will be open on the 15th unless its a monday or tuesday.

March 18th is a wendsday.. the 15th is a sunday... That may help.. but on a sunday.. the line of boats will be long. You may wanna go on the 18th and have a decent shot of not having to arrive at midnight to hit the water early...

i know i was there last year at opening day.there was a line all the way to the road.i had to run to try to get to my spot. iwas the fourth in line this guy got out of his buddy car when the gates opened and ran all the way to my spot. i was doing 30mph to try beating him. but he got my spot.

Ive been stuck on shore for the past 2 years except my bad boat rentals at ig. Anybody got space for one more on your boats? Either way I have to make it out here and get some striper.

I definitly won't be at the Opener and I'm still undecided about the next week. At this point I have not done anything with the boat and all my reels are stripped w/o any line still waiting to be serviced Good luck out there on Opening Day.
