Hit a local park pond in Schaumburg today to enjoy the nice weather. I got to try out some new carp techniques and a new groundbait (chum) I had mixed up the day before. Upon arrival, I threw several balls of the groundbait into one particular spot. After that, I proceeded in picking off 4 similar medium sized carp and about 10 bullheads. Overall, it was very nice to get out and to also have my first good outing of the year.

Good Job HS, It was for sure a beautiful day besides the wind. Sounds like you had some fun!

BTW, I know that pond. There is actually some decent bass in there. I never caught one over 5 though, but many 14-18"ers.

Thanks for the report.

Thanks wrench! That wind sure did cause some problems though. Half the time, I had fish nibbling the bait without me even noticing it, since the wind caused more tip movement!
