With 883 Fish in 69 Outings I'm Averaging 12.7 Fish per Outing Thus Far this season
Yesterday I made my whole "Presentation" Entirely New. I switched my Main Line From 10lb test to 8lb test. My Hook from Size 6 to Size 12, My Swivel from Size 10 to Size 14. Now those of you who know The Sizes I'm talking about this is basically a Bluegill Fisherman's Setup with my Size 12 Hook and 6lb test Leader. Now with this in mind and Fishing Very Weedy Waters, How many fish do you think you'd be able to land on 6lb test with weeds and fast moving current ? Honestly many would say not many. But I was Lucky Enough to Consistently Land Carp while Fishing from 8a.m. - 12:30p.m. on this set-up. During my Fishing outing three fisherman stopped by briefly to try there luck for carp Not hooking any or getting any bites and leaving right away. I not only landed a good amount of carp but landed a fish Close to 17lbs on 6 lb test, It almost beats 16lb King I caught on 6lb test two years ago. The Fishing today was Great, And believe it or not using this light set-up in the heavy weed I only Lost 1 and Caught 8.
Here's Two Pictures of me Displaying my Biggest of my 8 Common Carp.
Now, That isn't the End ! In the Keep net there were two about 13 lbs one about 11 and the rest no smaller then 8 pounds.
