PG Report: 8/16/06.... Quenched

Neil and I decided to hit Some Channel Catfish at a spot we Found a few days before Doing are Weekly Exploring ! It Seemed perfect with an off and on Discharge and Looked Ideal For Catfish. We set up about 8:00p.m. and fished until 9:00p.m. We Fished a Slight current break in about 3-4 Feet of water about 3 feet away from a steep drop off with a small weed bed and a lot of bait fish. The bait of choice was once again Gizzard Shad. I used the Head as Neil went With Gizzard Steak I caught a Nice Cat About 8:15p.m. And Neil Caught his about 8:35p.m. but After un hooking him The Fished Managed To wiggle away without a picture it weighed about 2 1/2 pounds.

Nice catfish!!!

I heard from a source last year that the catfish become active just after dark (as on most waters), on the Northshore Channel. I've just never stuck around long enough to do it. But that Outfall 105 spot is supposed to be good!
