Caught this under 294 in Park Ridge yesterday. My question: is there anywhere within 10 miles on DPR where the bank is walkable for a few hundred feet at a time? I don't really like going back up the bank and trudging through 4 foot high growth to get to the next spot. Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to study google maps. I fished that 294 bridge up past Algonquin Rd. tons of times using my canoe or yak. I can’t remember shore access areas now since I moved almost 8 years ago. Plus I’m old

There is easy shore access across the street from the Dunkin Donuts on River Road north of Howard Street on the west side of the river.
