For those intended applications, you want a rod that's between 7ft to 7.5ft. You'll be able to cast all day long as the shorter rod will require more effort.

I recently had a rod custom-built for a combo Pike/Bass rod. 7ft 2 inches and handles 10-25lb line and can chuck lures up to 1.5oz.

I would suggest looking at the BPS Pro Qualifier rods (was gonna go with this before I went custom).
Other options would be obviously a St. Croix premier.

You might also want to check out a Rollie & Helen's catalog as you can probably get a very light Musky rod which would work for this (no joke).
