Where do i park to fish that dam? i was told there are humongous northern in there.

Rand and River? I think you can get a Fillet-O'-Fish and a tour of the original McDonald's around that intersection. I'm not sure which dam you're referring to.

There are four dams, a spillway, bridges, and several creeks in the general vicinity of Rand and River. There are lots of forest preserve district parking areas and side streets.

Ah, I think that's at River and NW Highway.

If the construction is done, you can park on the road called Schwab Rd (or Campground Rd). It's off of Northwest Highway just east of the river. If Schwab/Campground is still closed, there are a bunch of places to park nearby, in downtown Des Plaines and maybe off of Busse Highway. You'd just have to walk a bit to reach the dam.
