I haven't done much in the way of reports lately. I've been fishing, but long sustained outings and changes in scenery have become fewer. Plus, bursitis has returned in my casting elbow but is not nearly as severe as it was in the early season...it's been a true day to day. My favorite presentation has come to a screeching halt too...I haven't caught a froggin bass in a couple weeks not and not for lack of trying. I have a feeling it has something to do with the abundance of sun we've been getting.
Lots of pictures for the visual folks and captions to go along with em.

My most recent catch. Proof of my short outings, this came toward the end of a whopping 36 minute outing. 2 and a quarter pounds on a Chatterbait.

Sneak peek of Heddon's "August Group Outings" post  Biggest of the day length-wise but not weight-wise.

Pano image of the storm system that JUST skirted east of us on said outing. It had to have missed us by less than a mile.

Frogs, Frogs, and more Frogs. I'm noticing less strikes from the common pond frogs this year. I don't know if they're dying off, migrating, or getting smarter  My favorite frogging pond has gotten a population boom of the smaller leopard frogs pictured, great bass candy

Only my third Pike this year and only my first river outing. Came off the DPR launch off of 60. It hit like a ton of bricks but gave the typical-of-it's-size fight like hell for 5 seconds and go limp. I need more river outings in my life.

Bunch of random 2+ bass. Don't remember specifics.

Horrible picture. Can't tell if it's an Imperial Moth caterpillar or a Luna Moth...or hell it can be neither. It was as thick as my thumb and as long as my index finger. This wasn't even while fishing, I spotted it at Springfield Park in Bloomingdale while playing Pokemon Go lmao. Echos my earlier statement of absorbing nature more even when I'm not fishing.

The wife still hasn't shaken her "I won't touch the fish I catch" bullshit  Here she is with one of the smallest bass I've seen caught on hook and line.

Finally, a gorgeous "lazy man's Sunrise" (AKA Sunset) on my favorite lake. One of very few I've seen this year due to abbreviated outings.
