Went to Root River in Racine. Fished up stream of the weir from 6:30 to 11 AM.
Nice sunny day ,temp in upper 60's. The water was clear and running about 110-120 CFM.
Landed, photographed and released five steelies , biggest 31 in.
Due to the sunny day most of fish were holding tight in deep holes.
Orange egg patterns worked best.
