Is anybody gonna be at the show this week? I might be going Sunday. Has anyone gone and is it worth it?

My understanding is that this is the first year for this particular show. It does look good. I may try to go if I don't have anything else to do this weekend.

Phil, if you go to the auto show again. Go to the Chrysler SRT8 test track. There are 4 test tracks: Jeep, Dodge trucks, Chrysler products to test traction control and ABS on ice and the SRT8 test track. My son and I did that one last weekend. The line wasn't too bad. We got to ride in a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. 420 hp and 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. I couldn't believe it, but I think that it was faster than my Z/28. They also had the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Magnum. All SRT8's. Highly recommended.

Doc, I did get to try that track in a Magnum SRT, which might be my next car. That was amazing. Did you see those ice skaters :lol: . If I go tomorrow, I'm going to try to stay late so I don't have to wait the line for the Jeep off road thing. That looked like a lot of fun, but it had the longest line.

Yeah, I saw the ice skaters. :wink: My son and I both wanted to ride in the Jeep SRT8, so we let a bunch of people go in front of us so that we could. That driver drove pretty aggressively. Some of the other drivers weren't. When he hit the gas, we were really thrown against the seats. And then he just slammed on the brakes. That alone was worth the price of admission. 8)

Well, I ended up going to the Schaumburg show this afternoon and I wish that I didn't. Very little fishing stuff. Mostly boats. Wasn't worth the price of admission IMHO. I wish that I had gone fishing instead.
