Ok, so I've been fishing a pond that used to produce, but it is now pretty much taken over by golden shiner. Some people say kill them, some say use them as bait, and I don't know what to do. Most are about 5-6 inches, but I have caught them as large as 12 inches. What should I do? If I do use them as bait, how would I do so? I am going to IG on Saturday and was thinking about using them as northern/musky bait. Any ideas? Thanks. Here's a picture of one from a few days ago:
