I need to kill about an hour in this area. Are there any spots along the river for shore fishing? I'd really appreciate your help.

The shoreline of that part of the Fox is mostly private property except for the park, so your shore fishing would be pretty limited to the park itself. I'd recommend Jaycee Park - about 2 miles from there.
