Went to Skokie Lagoons this morning. Got there about 6:30 AM and fished till 8:30 AM. Started out on lagoon 5. I threw Senkos and Mepps spinner bait but no takers. Went to lagoon 6 (north of Willow Rd) caught one small walleye on Senkos and one NICE LMB on black/watermelon lizzard. Both fish were hooked on the west side close to the weed line, approx. 4' to 6' deep. After two hours of fun I had to head back to go to work.

Nice fish!! Is that a porta-boat you are fishing from?
Yes, it is Porta-Bote……, it was ideal for my needs.
Main reason for going with this folding boat is the fact that I don't have space to store a trailer or boat.
This 12ft boat weighs only 65lbs & is easily one man portable (another prime consideration), but can carry four people when required.

I would recommend to wait until winter and then to save some $$$ buy it on eBay or Craigslist

Nice job Andy! Interesting how you had the Senko rigged. Looks like the walleye liked it!
Congratulations on a great website

Here is the story to the "weight on senkos" :D .................
Two weeks ago I was fishing Busse Lake with my six years old daughter and I wanted her to practice lure casting. So for some reason what I came up with is what you see on one of above pics. After few hours of fishing she caught few mid-size LMB and I caught nothing using weightless rigged senkos.

That is an awesome bass! Never heard of porta-bote before. That's a great little invention! How do you like it?
I am very happy to own this boat, it is very stable, it has outstanding maneuverability for river and small lake use and the best part is that it sits on the inside of my garage taking up only 4 inches of space.
I wish I had one 10 years ago ………I could have gotten to all those far-away fishing spots I could never get to with my other boats I used to own.

Nice looking fish! Last fall I was seeing a portaboat out there every time I went. Do those things have oarlocks or do you use paddles?
I was envious of how light it looked while I dragged my rowboat over the dam. :p
