I’m not “morally” a fan of bed fishing nor do I advocate it because most people don’t know how to do it well or respectfully, but we were limited in how we could fish on a recent outing due to all the troll hair so we put out a GoPro and took some video. Great learning experience. If you bed fish, please be respectful and proficient and release the fish quickly and safely, and move on.

Thanks! I’m not sure who makes the holster but I was thinking of getting one myself and they’re pretty readily available on Amazon under various “brand names” (lol) and varying prices. They all look pretty much like the ones he uses.

He makes great baits too, under the Bass Dope name. Local stick, great dude. He’s online and some of his stuff could be at Fishing Connection in Tinley soon.

It’s actually called filamentous algae, if I recall correctly. I named it troll hair, can’t recall if I heard it somewhere or it was truly my addled brain that came up with it. But that’s exactly what it looks and feels like so I’m sticking with it 😆

Yeah I think the Dupe is basically out for the rest of the year except in isolated areas. Luckily the DPR spots we have aren’t normally like that. We had a 100+ fish day between 3 guys a couple weeks ago on one of those spots. What a fishery that is.
