I got out for about an hour on Sunday to Spring Creek. Fished near the dam and was all by my lonesome for the morning. Worked a Jig with a Gizzit for about a half an hour working the shoreline, the dam, and a bit deeper. Had some waxworms and worked them under the jig and got two decent sized carp (both around 15") and a sunfish. The carp didnt want to stick around for pictures (they both spit the hook) but they were nice enough size. No bass....no gills.

Spring Creek is at Lake Street and Medinah Road in Bloomingdale. It's a DuPage Forest Preserve facility. It is a retention facility for flood waters and tough to fish in the summer as they have populated the area with wildflowers that make it difficult to get to the shoreline everywhere.

It connects to a private creek, Meacham Grove FP and Lake View Park in Bloomingdale.
