Hit the pond Saturday with my buddy. Started thowing rattle traps for some spring time hawgs instead what we found crappies. We caught a few on rattle traps then decided to go back to the car grab the ultra lights, slib bobbers and minnows. From then on out it was on!! 25 crappies between the two of use between 11 - 14 inches in abotu two hour window. Kept some for the table, here is my share. Hope the pics come, usually they never work for me.

Crappie fishing is something i've enjoyed for a long time. And finding them in local waters, especially nice-sized ones is more available than most realize.

I'm still looking for a legal area with big slabs close to the house. I know some pits but my days of getting shot at with rock salt are behind me :!:
