Went out to Maple around 11 am... dead. then headed to Tampier. Fished the west side of the lake by the dam and the backwater.

I ended up with two Bass both on Strike King 4 Series Crankbait in the Tennessee Shad color.
First one was about 3 pound second one was two pounds. then after a while of just waiting I threw out a texas rigged lizard and started to get a nibble just a foot away from the bank, so I just stopped reeling and let the lizard sit there. I ended up with a bullfrog.. big one. i'll upload the pic later.

My dad was catching alot of crappies and catfish all on nightcrawlers.

good to here something good comin out of the forest preserve lakes.

yeah.. it's pretty much the only water i fish (maple, tampier) I hear reports of bluegill and crappies at other lakes but then you see everyone head over to those waters. I have another pond that I don't post reports it's where i got my 5 pounder, it's a great pond where you wouldn't think to see big bass.
