So trout season is upon us. I used to hit up Blackwell forest preserve in du page. Definitely not secluded when you're rubbing elbows with a thousand other people. But I used to get em and limit.
I've moved closer to Pratt Wayne and have found it to be pretty slow over all.
Anybody have other recommendations?
And what baits?
I would use slip bombers and
Rosie minnows for extra vis.
Reason being is I could more accurately position my bait n depth.
Irritates me when somebody next to me gets em with mashed up trout bait the amount literally the size of half a sharpie marker.

I actually have not. I just checked it out on the map.
Is that one of your trout spots?
Crowded like everywhere else?

Yes. I checked it out last fall. Not shoulder to shoulder but people there every day
