Drove out to TW today to check and see if the ice has started to melt. Well, there were some open spots right along the banks, next to the docks, and along the sand near the volleyball courts. Pitched some finesse worms, but it was more like casting practice, as the water looked totally dead ( no surprise). :|

I'm saying that by the middle of next week, Twin Lakes will be open, as these rains and moderate temps will melt the 1 or 2 inches of snow/slush on top of the lake currently.

Well, I'm not slider, but I can tell you that last fall, I caught a close to 3, maybe even 4 pounder ( here's the link- http://www.windycityfishing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6638 ). Also, while catching bluegill there, I've seen tons of 2, 3 , maybe even 4 pound bass come up and attack my tiny little 2" jig and twister.

You gotta love these buttheads that haven't got anything better to do than make
smart alec comments when a person posts a legitamate reply.I never said you can expect
to catch a 51" musky, all I was saying was there are some nice fish in there and we had
some pretty good trips out there. slider you might want to try and add something
to a post rather than be a smart alec.
