Has anyone here ever fished Waukegan for salmon from shore? I want to take my son salmon fishing and thought that I would try Waukegan. Any advice that someone could give would be greatly appreciated.

i'd give the south rocks a try doc. i hear the action is picking up pretty good up there.

me and my dad go by the old power plant by the yacht club, and throw rat l traps and have good sucess.

You also have gov't pier and Johnson Motor Pier in the area. Stop by the Salmon Stop in Waukegan and ask Lori or Augy where they are biting at. They usually have daily reports.
