With that said... one of our most successful tournaments! Who would have thunk that with the weather so ominous we'd have 20 something participants with a LOT of fish caught!? Well we did!

Horrible weather predicted but we just got rained on a little. THAT, however, seemed to just get everyone going. It seemed to be hit or miss on several different presentations for the bass and many succeeded, and some did not. What a crazy day.

The message boards here are embarking on 5 years online and I can NOT be more proud of how much we have brought new anglers into this great sport/hobby. Awesome time and looking forward to many more this season.

Despite the weather 24 members made it out to Deep Lake .......53 Total "Keeper" bass were caught :shock: . If I counted all the shorts were looking at 70+ bass. A fine day in the rain for sure.

Great job guys! I'm sorry I missed out.

I haven't had a whole lot of chance to go fishing since starting my new company. I've got to get out there. Maybe next time, even if I don't join in on the tournament, I should get out to see you guys in action later in the day...

This is the one that got me on the board and the only keeper I didn't win but very happy that i caught two 1 dink 11" and a nice 3lb 6oz bass for my first time at deep :mrgreen:

I got lucky and found a really productive stretch of water in the morning. Lipless cranks worked well for me but for some reason Charlie couldn't get a hit. Anyways it was a really fun tournament and was good seeing everyone.

Congrats to the winners and great meeting a lot of you guys. Glad the weather held up on us. Was a pretty tough bite for our boat Saturday. Sounds like there was a ton of action in the first hour that we missed out on while on the north end of the lake. Looking forward to the next one.

Bonus pts for big fish works. No room for cash prize for both TEAM and BIG FISH with entry fee being reduced to $20

I have to admit, not having big fish killed some of the competitiveness. After the first weigh in, I was so far behind that I didn't fish that hard. With big fish, I would've had something to shoot for all the way to the end.

I vote for 10 pt bonus for big fish from now on.

Lastly, how did everyone like the TEAM BOAT TOTAL setup????

I don't know... For me, it seems unfair that 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th place with big fish would get more AOY points than first place. 5th or 6th with big fish would get more than 2nd or 3rd. If AOY is designed to reward consistency, I think big fish bonus points takes a little away from that.

That being said, I don't really care which way it goes. It's all for fun anyways right?

Augy, I like big boat total... it's definitely something new and interesting but I would have to say I like big fish payout better.
