Meant to mention - in 2 places along the south shore we found lines - not sure they were fishing lines - strung from high up in trees into the water. They looked like the sort of dacron line you mighy use for backer - braided red & black.
This sort of thing really pisses me off because of the threat to birds & critters. So I pulled up as much as I could & cut it. The 1st 1 was hooked to a broken bamboo rod. I never found the end of the 2nd. After 10 minutes of pulling & getting up close to 100 yards I said fuck it & cut it. No idea how much was left in the water.
