When the days get short and it gets too cold for these old bones to be out there I tend to find things to do that help me get ready for Spring.
So today I took down all my rods and waxed the guides. Only takes 30 minutes or so but I'm convinced it helps cast farther & reduces wear & tear on line. I picked up the idea here on WCF years ago. I think it was HEDDONFROG who turned me on to it. Hope he's doing well these days.
So what do you do when you can't get out? This doesn't include you hardwater fisherpeople - we know you're sitting around hoping for some long cold spells.
