Caught it at my pond today and wasn't sure what it was...

if i were to guess i would say it is a hand holding a bluegill :lol:

lol...but the pattern looks a little different than a bluegill

Caught some of them at axehead. I'm thinking a cross between a bluegill and pumkinseed.

My guess is that it is a bluegill. Sometimes they can be a little different color due to the water that they are in.

A pre-spawn female bluegill

green sunfish hybrid pumpkinseed

, orange around the fins
