So I headed down to the river on Monday and started out near the Aurora dam. I was inspired by all the aluminum can setups that I saw and wondered where I could score some of these.

Question #1: Is there a limit on how many of these cans I can use in given area at one time? I was confused since I saw probably more then 2 a fisherman and wondered if there was an exclusion.
Question #2: Does this aluminum can approach require a fishing license and do I get a bonus if I recycle it after fishing?

**Disclaimer** This is all meant with a serious tone of sarcasm but a serious tone of disappointment as well.

God forbid the DNR makes a run down to the dam there. If fines were paid the DNR could possibly fund their budget for years to come.

The magic eight ball, when shaken and asked whether this thread is closed with in 3 days says: Most definately. :D

I like to go with Green Giant brand canned corn. Though there is more weight which affects the reeling action speed, the structural stability over a 24 oz Modelo wins. Now, I don't want to turn this thread into another empty can vs full can thread, but again, weight is the issue-empty cans reel faster. And don't forget the other rules of ettiquite- take as many fish as you can no matter the size, loud oompa loompa music is the best, and all dirty diapers belong in the woods.

I think those individuals you speak of are worse for that river system than any amount of pollutants that happen to wash into the water.........

There are fisherman, and then there are those that "fish" - It's about content of character, not color of skin, but try to explain that to them........

Well from what i could tell it was a non specific manufactured type of line that was wrapped around the can itself and anchored at the pull tab. Run that out about 20-30ft with a size 1 hook and the bait used can be whatever has almost turned in your fridge.

Light beer or not, the rig was consistent with it's intent. The pull tab may be the necessity. The full beer is an easy response. Who would waste a full beer on a spawning smallmouth? That is a universal gimme. Please.

Responses appreciated....and funny. Diapers may hold "resuable" corn and act act as a wind sock so alterations may apply.

Tagging your can with names may be confusing since most names are interchangeable.
