Whalon Lake – Will County, IL

Whalon Lake Facts

Size: 80 acres
Max Depth: 25 feet (as shown on preserve map). Some boater’s depth finders have shown it to be even deeper.
Shoreline: Approximately 1.68 miles
Location: Part of the Will County Forest Preserve District adjacent to Bolingbrook and Naperville. Entrance on Royce Road.
Fish: Largemouth bass, walleye, channel catfish, black crappie, bluegill (smallmouth bass are present but no longer stocked)
Boating: Boat launch and trailer parking available for boats up to 18′. No gas powered motors. Gas motors may be present on boats but not used. No launch fee or permit required. (please refer to the official forest preserve website as regulations are subject to change)
Hours: 6am – sunset (April – October); 8am – sunset (November – March)
