There are still mixed forecasts as of 2pm Friday, but i'm starting to feel good about this. And if we do get out there and miss the storms and it stays cloudy, the fishing could be damned excellent!

Hopefully the low will just bring in some clouds for tomorrow morning like many are predicting. Cloudy skies, warm weather, and early morning should equal great fishing. Unless I wake up to a thunderstorm, or find out later tonight that nobody else is going up, I am going to make the trek to Deep and see what the morning brings. I am so anxious to finally fish this lake that I would probably even go if I was guaranteed to get hit by lightning on a clear day........well, maybe not that extreme. :?

I can get the other Johnson in service tonight but it's not been field tested....Maybe I'll use that one and someone else can use the yamaha

Motor rentals are $5.00 for gas and oil(the minumum cost to run it)....or 2 beers after..at the bar and I do collect

change of plans... i'll be going up there tomorrow morning instead of sunday, cant wait to see what deep is all about, will see u guys up there...

(Btw has anyone ever tried drop-shot technique up there... thats usually my bread and butter for deeper lakes.)

Awesome thanks for the info, i'll be goin up there with a friend, will be there probably at 6am. See you guys tomorrow.

I'm making a game-time decision. Just talked with Augy and we're thinking everyone else who's gonna make a game-time decision should post by 4am if they're coming or not.

Keep an eye on the forecasts and keep the fingers crossed! (But don't keep a finger on the forecasts and the eyes crossed! )

That works for me. I plan on getting there in the morning, but again if the weather is awful at 4:00 a.m. it will make my decision for me. Unfortunately, I have no motors at all so I can't help there. :(
