MrB, the table with the different rods has a number that corresponds to the type of handle for that particular rod. Just look at the number on the table and then refer to the different handle types. I hope that this makes sense.
Hehe the first post was suposed to be an editted cuz after I actually read the page I figured the handle dealio it out. Double post instead of editted

Now I am curious on whats the difference with a crankbait rod, does it have more of a backbone or less sensitive? I will be using it as a general purpose rod.

Toothdoc, thanks for your help, I think that is the model you bought. How do you like it? I basically buy ugly sticks so I am kinda curious about this sensitivity everybody always talks about. Because personally I think my sticks are pretty sensitive, contrary to what most others say. I checked some out at dicks, they are much lighter in weight and very stiff pricey tho($99-$170).

It sounds like you need to get the same rod that I did. The PC66MHF. It will be more sensitive than the crankbait rod, but have a little less backbone. I think that you will be happy with it.
I still haven't had a chance to try out my rod yet. I picked up a Pflueger reel a couple of weeks ago and still haven't spooled it up. I've been salmon fishing the past few weeks and haven't had a need to use it yet.

I got a pc66mhf 2007 model at gats for 90 bucks. It was a hundo but i got a 10% discount and got a st croix hat along with it. Couldn't pass it up especially cuz I didnt have wait for it. That model came out to be 88.00 with shipping at the other site, so I figured the extra few bucks didnt matter.

Can't wait to try it out, my ugly stik feels like a 2x4 compared to it.

Mr B you are going to like the St. Croix. An Ugly Stick doesn't compare to a St. Croix. You also got the 2006 model, which is nicer than the 2005 models that were on sale.
